I have been building custom rifles for many years, having had in my hands many different custom actions. I consider the Bat actions are second to none, regardless where built or by whom.
You cannot get a better action.
Below are the actions I recomend and are the models I build on 99% of the rifles I build.
I much prefer a round action, although a multi-flat is not bad. A much better inletting fit is had with the round actions.
The Bat HRPIC repeater for large calibers such as the 338 Lapua
Remington footprint
The above action can be had as a repeater or as a single shot. The 20 MOA rail is intergal, adding great strength. The recoil lug is also integral which results in more precision than an aftermarket recoil lug, also permits a switch barrel setup without pinning an aftermarket lug. It will accept a Jewel trigger with a top safety and one of the nicest feature is the slender Remington style tang which makes for a very sleek looking fit into many stocks.

Model 3 LL
This is a 3-lug action, available in a large diameter suitable for all magnum calibers.
Bat model M
If you want a heavy 20 lb. long range varmint ot 1000 yard target rifle, then this is the action for it. It will carry a large diameter barrel easily. Most of these rifles I build have a 1.200" X 30" barrel. Most customers have me install it on my model UNDERTAKER bench stock
Model 3-L
A smaller diameter 3-lug action suitable for any cartridge with a .308 bolt face. I consider a Bat 3-lug action one of the most precisions made for extreme accuracy.
Note that the 3-lug is also shown in Chrome-moly. Most of the bat actions are available in chrome-moly as actions made from this material are not as prone to galling as are stainless steel actions. Very slick actions.
